Here a baseboard is being laminated in a custom jig, designed to precisely duplicate the curvature of the wall that it will eventually trim.
After removing the baseboard from the jig, excess glue is removed.
The baseboard is then ripped slightly larger than the final height of the trim.
Several passes through the planer bring the stock to the exact height.
The baseboard is then fed through the shaper, producing the desired profile on the face of the stock.
